This collection consist mainly of the 1907 - 1940 2c Rizal postal cards privately overprinted for business or commercial use plus a few cards used for individual notices.

From the variety of usage it can be discerned that those overprinted on the verso side for use as regular company notices  were produced in the hundreds. On the other hand  cards with single-side dated notices and those overprinted on both sides like those used to advertise stage performances and boxing matches were most likely produced in limited quantity.

It is believed that the examples presented herein is really just a sampling of the extensive business usage of the 2c Rizal postal cards. Perhaps with this collection, one will be encouraged to look deeper into this facet of Philippine postal history.
